Q. Can renu® Advanced Formula be used with soft lenses?


Yes, renu® Advanced Formula is indicated for use with silicone hydrogel and hydrogel soft contact lenses.

A: Yes, renu® Advanced Formula is indicated for use with silicone hydrogel and hydrogel soft contact lenses.

Q. Can renu® Advanced Formula be used with GP (RGP) lenses?


A: No, renu® Advanced Formula is indicated for use with silicone hydrogel and hydrogel soft contact lenses. renu® Advanced Formula is not indicated for use with GP (RGP) lenses; however, Bausch + Lomb offers the family of Boston® solutions indicated for GP (RGP) contact lenses.

Q. When will renu® Advanced Formula be available in stores?


A: Bausch + Lomb has begun shipping renu® Advanced Formula to retailers. It may take time for some retailers to have the product on shelf based on their distribution process.

Q: Will renu® Advanced Formula replace renu® fresh and renu® sensitive?


A: Yes, as renu® Advanced launches it will replace both renu® fresh & renu® sensitive at the retail shelf. There may be residual inventory of both renu® fresh & renu® sensitive at specific retail locations for a few months following the launch of renu® Advanced Formula.

Q: I use renu® sensitive. Is renu® Advanced Formula “sensitive” enough for my eyes?


A: We have not directly tested renu® sensitive against renu® Advanced Formula for this purpose. However, in a clinical study of renu® Advanced Formula multi-purpose solution, patients were asked to provide subjective assessments of Comfort upon insertion, Overall comfort, Comfort at end of day, and Overall impression. All subjective responses were found to be high and favorable.

Q: Are you replacing renu® fresh and renu® sensitive because there was a problem?


A: No, the launch of renu® Advanced Formula was not due to a problem with either renu® fresh or renu® sensitive. Bausch + Lomb is dedicated to bringing innovative ideas to eye health. We continually strive to improve our products to enhance the consumers’ experience.

Q: Can I still use renu® fresh and renu® sensitive while it is still available?


A: renu® fresh & renu® sensitive can continued to be used per the package instructions and the expiration dating provided on the package.

Q: Is a fresh lens case going to be packaged with each solution bottle?


A: Lens cases will be included in the following configurations, 2 oz. travel pack, 12 oz., and 2 x 12 oz. pack.

Q: Is renu® Advanced Formula multi-purpose solution approved for “No Rub”?


A: No, the daily regimen, which includes a simple rub step, is recommended by Bausch + Lomb for a healthy and comfortable contact lens wearing experience.

Q: Should I store renu® Advanced Formula multi-purpose solution at room temperature?


A: Yes, store solution at room temperature. Do not freeze.

Q: Is renu® Advanced Formula gluten free?


A: We do not have any certification that renu® Advanced Formula or any of our multi-purpose solutions are gluten free.

Q: Where is renu® Advanced Formula being manufactured?


A: Product sold in the U.S. is being produced in Greenville, South Carolina.

Q: What sizes will renu® Advanced Formula be available in?


A: renu® Advanced Formula is available in a 2 oz., 4 oz., and 12 oz. bottles. Some retail stores also carry a two – 12oz. bottle configuration. However, every retailer may not carry all of these sizes.

Q: How long will the bottle of solution last?


A: When used daily, it will depend on the size of the bottle. However, the following precautions should be observed:

  • Always discard solution from lens case after each use.
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
  • Store solution at room temperature. Do not freeze.
  • Use before the expiration date marked on the carton and bottle.
  • Discard any remaining solution 90 days after opening.

Q: Is the renu® Advanced Formula multi-purpose solution packaging recyclable?


A: The bottle and carton are 100% recyclable through conventional recycling programs. In addition, contact lenses and blister packs can be recycled through the Bausch + Lomb ONE by ONE recycling program. For more information on this program, visit bauschrecycles.com.
